Sequence Manipulation Suite:
Random DNA Regions
Random DNA Regions replaces regions of a DNA sequence with random bases. Random sequences can be used to evaluate the significance of sequence analysis results.
Paste the raw sequence or one or more FASTA sequences into the text area below. Input limit is 500000 characters.
>sample sequence ttaatgacctttttttttttccatgccctcgaataggcttgagcttgccaattaacgcgcacgggctggccgggcgtataagccaaggtgtagtgaggttgcattatacatgccggcttgtgattaacgcatgccataggacggttaggctcagaacccgcaaccaatacacgtgattttctcgtcccctg
Enter the base positions or ranges of interest. Use ".." or "-" to represent a range, and use a comma to separate entries.
Please check the
browser compatibility
page before using this program.
The above ranges should be
replaced with random bases
preserved
during the randomization process.
